Sheaffer Prelude Signature Fountain Pen, Palladium Plate with Engraved Sovereign Pattern and Palladium Plate Trim features a highly embellished cross hatched engraved imperial pattern on the barrel and cap. To emphasize the precision of the patterning, Sheaffer sets off the detail with black resin in alleviation, and features a black lacquer section between the barrel and stainless steel nib. Holds great contrast between the soft, silvery glow of the palladium and the black accents in creating a classic fountain pen. A revival of the Imperial finish from the 1960s Sheaffer collection, this Prelude reprises the best of the venerable fountain pens of half a century ago with a slightly modern twist.
