Taccia Nature Reserve Bamboo LE Fountain Pen – Forest Grove W/Music Nib #02/50 As a part of the Taccia Nature Reserve LE Series, the Taccia Bamboo LE Collection receives its influence from one of our most valued plants – the hardy bamboo. A hand-etched Urushi lacquer wraps each fountain pen with a geometric pattern used by many cultures for centuries to weave bamboo into functional pieces. Each Bamboo LE piece takes 90 days to construct. Raw Ebonite barrels are painted with multiple coats of Urushi lacquer to seal the Ebonite and develop a foundation. The artist then hand engraved each bamboo pen to create a three dimensional depth and pattern. After the engraving is complete more applications of Urushi Lacquer are coated and finally polished bring each Bamboo LE into its finished state. The pen is fitted with a Japanese 14K gold Music nib.
